For those wishing to make their own assemblies for use on Vonnegut brush backed polishing heads for sanding contours. An assembly consists of four abrasive cloth strips held together to fit in a Vonnegut sander. A 16" length is used on a 32 brush sander head. A 10" length is used on a 12 brush sander head. Assemblies are available either unscored or scored. Scored rolls are available with 1/4" straight scoring or 1/4" or 1/8" staggered scoring. Cloth assemblies are generally specified in either X-weight aluminum oxide resin bond cloth, or in silicon carbide waterproof cloth. Grit range is generally 50 grit and finer.
