PDQ Discs and Holder Systems

Drop your costs on quick-change discs to less than half, and improve performance A PDQ Disc is a plain cloth discs (1-1/2" to 3" diameter) with a center hole. It's made of exactly the same abrasive material as the common quick-change disc (which we also carry).

Made to compete both functionally and economically with common quick-change discs. A sturdy, reusable, hardened steel Mounting Nut is pushed through the front of a plain disc with a center hole, forming a quick-change disc unit. The Disc/Nut is quickly & easily turned onto a Threaded Arbor in the center of a PDQ Support Pad and seated by hand for use. When seated, the top of the Mounting Nut is below the Disc Surface and won't touch the workpiece at any angle. Backup Plates provided in every kit can be added or removed, allowing the user to choose flexibility. Assembling the PDQ Mounting System without the optional Backup Plates provides for greater flexibility than any other pad on the market.

From a functional standpoint, a PDQ disc is almost as easy to use as common quick-change discs, allows for greater disc flexibility (which translates to greater surface area on the workpiece). The worker will pre-load several hubs onto discs, to avoid the need to change out hubs after using each disc. From an economy standpoint, there is no comparison. PDQ discs cost well under half that of common quick-change discs.

PDQ Disc Mounting Systems also apply to use with resin fiber discs (and large plain cloth and surface conditioning discs). Instead of the customary tool-change center hub, a re-usable PDQ Mounting Nut is pushed through the front of a plain disc with a center hole, forming a quick-change disc. The Disc/Nut quickly turn onto the PDQ holder pad, pulling the Mounting Nut below the disc's surface. Backup Plates provided in every kit can be used or left out, allowing the user to choose flexibility. Assembling the PDQ Mounting System without the optional backup plates provides for greater flexibility than any other pad on the market.
